Jennifer Graham
Jennifer’s ceramic work is inspired by traditional textile craft and by the vessel.
A recent graduate of Sheridan College’s Ceramics program, Jennifer uses traditional elements from textile craft to transform her ceramics into original, modern pieces. Each piece is created individually using fabric molds. The repeated use of the fabric molds results in the construction of multiples which reflect a sense of both production line, as well as handmade ceramics.
Individualized pieces result from this production line technique because each piece contains markings of the movement of the cloth and the maker’s hand. The repetitions, with small variations, create unique vessels.
